What are Shadow Souls?

Shadow Souls are a new companion system. These wandering souls can be awakened and bound to your character, fighting alongside you and unlocking powerful equipment effects.

You can add your Shadow Souls on the skill bar and summon by pressing “K”.

New Items

Soul Cluster — can be obtained from the Pile of Royal Fireworks, event progress bar, Token of Gratitude, and shop chests.

Heart of Destruction — can be obtained from the Pile of Royal Fireworks, event progress bar, Token of Gratitude, and shop chests.

Equipment Cores (Necklace) — can be obtained from the Pile of Royal Fireworks, Soul Destruction Material Selection Chest, Token of Gratitude, and the shop.

Equipment Cores (Cloak) — can be obtained from the Pile of Royal Fireworks, Soul Destruction Material Selection Chest, Token of Gratitude, and the shop.

Equipment Cores (Belt) — can be obtained from the Pile of Royal Fireworks, Soul Destruction Material Selection Chest, Token of Gratitude, and the shop.

Recipes — can be obtained from the Pile of Royal Fireworks and from the Greed Fiend in Professor Jullov’s Laboratory.

Big Bang — can be obtained from the Token of Gratitude Chest.

Killerjaw — can be obtained from The Sea of Fortune Chest or purchased from the shop for 100,000 Andermant.

Crackle, crackle, pop! — can be purchased for 800 Community Coins.

Firecracker — can be obtained from the event progress bar.

Which new Shadow Souls are available?

Two new Shadow Souls are introduced:

Blade Sentinel - A frontline defender that silently endures attacks and uses its spirit body as a shield.

Twilight Wraith - A cursed warrior formed of obsidian-like shadow energy, radiating dark power.

How do I obtain a Shadow Soul?

Blade Sentinel can be obtained through a quest:

Accept a quest “All Things Bright and Soulful” from Matthew Allthings in Kingshill
Collect specific Echo Shards and complete the quest

Twilight Wraith can be obtained through another quest:

Complete the quest “Hostile Acquisition” from Professor Julov in Kingshill
Next, get the quest “The Greedy and the Needy” from Professor Julov again, and visit Little Greed Fiend next to the Church in Kingshill to complete the quest
Then you will get the new quest “Fiendish Frenzy” from Little Greed Fiend, which rewards you a “Twilight Wraith” recipe.
Liberation Keys can be purchased from Little Greed Fiend
- 1 pc. for 1200 Andermant (no limit)
- 30x Community Coin (1 per day)
You can craft “Twilight Wraith” at the workbench (must complete the quest for getting Blade Sentinel).
Craft with 100x Twilight Wraith’s Echo Shards
Twilight Wraith’s Echo Shards can be obtained from event progress bar and event shop.

What is the new Shadow Soul equipment set?

You can find Shadow Souls equipment page after you completed the quest quest “All Things Bright and Soulful” from Matthew Allthings in Kingshill.

The new set is called “Soul Destruction”, consisting of:

Soul Destruction Necklace
Soul Destruction Cloak
Soul Destruction Belt

When a Shadow Soul is summoned:

On Critical Hit, you have a 15% chance to unleash Desolation Impact, dealing 200% Physical Damage to nearby enemies and applying Mark of Desolation.
Effect can occur once every 30 seconds.

Mark of Desolation:

-10% movement speed
Last for 8 seconds

Class-specific bonus:

Dragonknight

(2):+ 20.00% Health Points
(3):+ 20.00% Damage
(3): All your skills deal 300% increased damage to enemies affected by Mark of Desolation and reduce their attack speed by 50%.

Spellweaver

(2):+ 20.00% Health Points
(3):+ 20.00% Damage
(3): All your skills deal 250% increased damage to enemies affected by Mark of Desolation and reduce their attack speed by 50%.

Ranger

(2):+ 20.00% Health Points
(3):+ 20.00% Damage
(3): All your skills deal 325% increased damage to enemies affected by Mark of Desolation and reduce their attack speed by 50%.

Steam Mechanicus

(2):+ 20.00% Health Points
(3):+ 20.00% Damage
(3): All your skills deal 250% increased damage to enemies affected by Mark of Desolation and reduce their attack speed by 50%.

Every time the Unlocked Fireworks Crate is opened, there is a chance that a Liberated Greed Fiend Treasure Chest will appear, which can be opened with a Liberation Key.

You can obtain 1x Token of Gratitude from Liberated Greed Fiend Treasure Chest.
