New Shadow Soul — Ember Knight Kain
Unlike other Shadow Souls, Kain has twice the base Health, allowing him to stay in combat longer and provide more consistent support during extended battles.
Kain's gameplay revolves around building Heat stacks. Each enemy hit by his attacks grants 1 Heat stack for 5 seconds, and he can accumulate up to 20 stacks at a time.
Ember Knight Kain builds Heat as he strikes enemies (up to 20 stacks), ramping up attack speed and resistances & armor by 5% per stack.
Each Heat stack grants:
- +5% Attack Speed
- +5% Armor and Elemental Resistances (disabled in PvP)
- Event: Defeat Undefeatable
- Workbench
How to get
To unlock the new Shadow Soul, players must first obtain the Ember Knight Kain crafting recipe from the event progress bar.
Once the recipe has been acquired, it can be crafted using: 100 × Ember Knight Kain's Echo Shards
New Set: Reignited Ember
Collect ingredients and craft it at the workbench.
Heart of Lava — The New Event Resource
The new Heart of Lava resource is required to craft the pieces of the Reignited Ember set.
The primary source of Heart of Lava is a series of special Portal Bosses. These portals appear after defeating the altar bosses in Circus Monstrorum, although players can also access specific bosses directly by using the corresponding Travel Rations.
Heart of Lava can be obtained from: Grimmag, Khalys, Herald, Sigrismarr, Gorga, Mortis, Destructor, Balor, Sharra Harab, Dragan, Gwenfara.
There are also several ways to increase the amount of Heart of Lava you receive:
- Lava Essence Elixirs (+200% and +500%)
- Clockwork Falcon pet (+80%)
- Event Attire (+100%)
In addition, Heart of Lava can be obtained from the event progress bars and from Stellan Caprice's shop.

Fractured Planes – Season 2
The second season of Fractured Planes will run until July 16.
Players will face a new set of seasonal modifiers that affect both heroes and enemies:
- Molten Fury: Fire Damage increased by 60%.
- Flame Burst: Every 20 seconds, you unleash piercing fire projectiles in all directions. Enemies hit are stunned for 2 seconds and take 200% Fire Damage.
- Blood Rush: Killing an enemy grants you and your minions +2.5% Movement Speed and +2.5% Damage for 8 seconds. This effect stacks up to 20 times.
- Lava Rift: Enemies have a chance to create a Lava Rift upon death. The rift lasts for 5 seconds and deals 300% Damage per second to players standing inside.
- Elite & Boss Health: Elite Monsters and Bosses gain 50% additional Health.
Season 2 also introduces a new crafting recipe that allows players to exchange Challenge Passes for Chronos Coins using a new resource called Essence of Old Dreams, which can be obtained on Floor 1.
In addition, the Victory Medal Shop returns, giving players another opportunity to spend any Victory Medals left over from previous Ancestral Ruins seasons.
