Fractured Planes is a seasonal event for level 100 characters that transforms the tower beneath Kingshill into a competitive dungeon with floors, score mechanics, a leaderboard, a new power system, a dedicated equipment slot, and a boss on every tenth floor.
The core gameplay loop is simple:
- You enter the Fractured Planes through a portal in Kingshill.
- You progress through the tower floors.
- You earn score, resources, and first-clear rewards.
- You upgrade a new system — Rift Force.
- You climb higher on the leaderboard.
- At the end of the season, you receive rewards based on your final ranking.
The event is designed entirely for solo play. Party play is not allowed.
Main Event NPCs
Several characters take part in the event’s storyline.
- Father Fidelis
- A priest from Kingshill. He is the one who begins the storyline by reading the prophecy from the Book of Agathon and directing the player toward the rift.
- Aurelion
- A representative of the Dragonkin. He appears in the Catacombs and in Kingshill. He is involved in the early chapters of the questline and also runs the Chronos Coin shop.
- Kael
- Another Dragonkin. He appears later and guides the player through Chapters 3 and 4 of the questline. He is also connected to the leaderboard and tracks the player’s progress.
- Lythira
- Agathon’s former champion, now the main boss of the Fractured Planes.
New Combat Mechanics
The event introduces two new mechanics that operate on top of the standard damage and defense systems.
Rift Force — Final Damage Reduction
Rift Force reduces the final damage your character takes.
It’s important to understand that this is not standard armor or resistance. This stat is applied after the game has already calculated armor, resistances, and block.
In other words, the usual defensive mechanics are applied first, and only then Final Damage Reduction takes effect.
In the character interface, this stat is displayed in the defensive section as a percentage with one decimal place.
The logic works roughly like this:
- the enemy deals damage;
- the game applies armor, resistances, and block;
- the remaining damage is then further reduced by Rift Force.
The stat ranges from 0% to 100%. The higher your Rift Force level, the greater the reduction to final damage.
Rift Echo — Bonus Damage on Hit
Rift Echo is an offensive mechanic that can trigger when you deal damage.
When it activates, it creates a second additional hit. This hit is calculated as a percentage of the damage you just dealt.
The most important part: this additional hit ignores the target’s defenses.
It bypasses:
- armor;
- resistances;
- block.
The system includes two stats:
- Rift Echo Chance — the chance for the effect to trigger;
- Rift Echo — the amount of bonus damage dealt.
For example, at level 1 the effect may look like this:
On dealing damage, there is a 10% chance to trigger Rift Echo. Rift Echo deals an additional 10% of the final damage of this attack and ignores resistances.
It’s also important to note that Rift Echo cannot trigger itself.
In other words, the additional hit cannot generate another additional hit.
In combat, this damage is displayed in a distinct pink color
Rift Force Levels
The Rift Force system has a total of 100 levels.
Your level depends on a new item — the Rift Force. It is unlocked after completing the third sub-quest of The Dragonkin’s Plea.
This item is placed into a new equipment slot and can be upgraded through a special interface called the Arcane Vessel.
Each upgrade requires:
- Rift Essence;
- Fractured Core;
- a currency of your choice:
- 1000 Andermant
- 100000 Gold
This means progression requires not only event-specific resources but also standard in-game currency.

Interface and How to Play
Before starting, you need to approach the portal in Kingshill — this is how you enter the Fractured Planes. In this window, you can select the desired floor (up to 100), preview the first-clear rewards, and then begin your run.
Once inside, a dedicated interface appears, showing everything happening on the floor. First, you’ll see the current objective: you begin by clearing monsters, then a boss appears, and after defeating it, the floor is considered complete. There is also a progress bar that fills as you kill enemies — once it reaches 100%, the boss fight begins.
At the same time, a timer is always active, limiting how long you have to complete the floor. If the timer runs out, the floor is automatically completed, even if the boss has not been defeated. Because of this, it’s important not only to survive but also to clear floors efficiently.
You should also keep the death penalty in mind: each time you respawn, 30 seconds are deducted from the remaining time. The floor itself does not reset, but these time losses can significantly impact your final result, especially on higher floors.
Fractured Planes — Dungeon Structure
Fractured Planes is a solo dungeon consisting of 100 floors.
The entrance is located via the portal in Kingshill.
There are 100 floors in total, and every tenth floor features a boss fight against Lythira.
The higher the floor, the greater the difficulty.
Tower Buffs and Effects
While progressing through the Fractured Planes, special effects are applied to both the player and the monsters.
Positive Effects
Negative Effects
Important Limitation for Summons
Your summons do not receive tower buffs.
This includes:
- mercenaries
- pets;
- class summons;
- transformations;
- Steam Mechanicus turrets.
For example, the Steam Mechanicus combat turret does not benefit from these effects. Buffs apply only to your character and to the enemies on the floor.
Three Phases of a Floor
- Phase One — “Defeat the monsters in the rift”
- Clear waves of enemies until the progress reaches 100%.
- Phase Two — “Defeat the Rift Lord”
- Once the progress bar is filled, a boss appears — the Rift Lord. It must be defeated.
- Phase Three — “Level Complete”
- After defeating the boss or when the timer expires, the floor is considered complete and rewards are granted.
Floor Timer
Each floor has a timer displayed in the MM:SS format.
If the time runs out, the floor automatically transitions to Phase Three. In other words, the run does not continue indefinitely.
- Death Penalty
- In the Fractured Planes, death does not fully reset the floor, but there is a penalty: each respawn reduces the remaining time by 30 seconds.
- This means death does not remove your progress, but it significantly lowers your chances of completing the floor in time.
- In the Fractured Planes, death does not fully reset the floor, but there is a penalty: each respawn reduces the remaining time by 30 seconds.
- Exit Timer
- After defeating the boss or when the timer expires, you have 30 seconds before being returned to Kingshill.
First-Clear Rewards
Each floor grants a reward for the first time you complete it during the season.
Rewards can be claimed via the Get Reward button in the portal window.
Possible rewards include:
- Rift Essence
- Andermant
- Chronos Coin
Boss: Lythira, Oracle of Doom
Lythira is the main boss of the Fractured Planes. She appears on every tenth floor.
She is a Dragonkin boss that scales with the player’s level. She deals high damage and has a set of five active abilities in addition to her basic attacks.
| Ability | Visual | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Rift Slash | A fast melee cone attack: 140° arc, 6 m range. | Punishes melee players who stand still. |
| Dark Meteor | A ranged sequence of five blue-purple energy bursts at up to 14 m. | Projectiles are staggered, leaving windows to dodge. Deals 100% Andermagic damage. |
| Rift Teleport | A short teleport used to close the distance. | Cooldown: 1 second. |
| Abyssal Nova | A powerful ground slam with a large radius (around 10 m). | Telegraphed with a 4-second wind-up. Deals 100% Andermagic damage. |
| Portal Spawn | Summons 7 portal minions around the arena, each firing a sticky projectile. | On hit, applies a 3-second movement slow. Portals are invulnerable but despawn on their own. |

- her stun immunity refreshes every time she is hit;
- she is resistant to Andermagic;
- all other damage types work normally.
